Internet archaeology and digital preservation are modern acts of preserving the internet to combat inaccessibility due to down servers, broken links (link rot), and outdated formatting (Digital Decay). This valuable work, often done by volunteers, helps maintain resources and entertainment that exist purely online. We'll look organizations like The Internet Archive (Waybackmachine), The Digital Archaeological Record, End of Term Crawl Archive, Library of Congress, and more to see what they are doing to ensure early internet resources are preserved for future generations.
