Drop in any time from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. for information and a live demonstration of the linux PC operating systems.
Linux is the heart of a family of open source operating systems first released on September 17, 1991, by Linus Torvalds. It is open-source (freely available and modifiable), with many distributions (or versions) of Linux lacking clunky bloated features found in Mac and Windows, such as forced AI, built in apps, and paid subscriptions.
Linux operating systems are typical small in size, unlikely to be the target of malware, and easily installed, meaning they can give life to older PCs.
However, Linux operating systems have their limitations. Apps exclusive to Apple (iTunes) and Microsoft (Word, Outlook) are not built to work with Linux.
Join us for a live demo and check out what Linux has to offer.
